WAY TO GO...
Angel is done with tricky bait-and-switch games leading always to "You need a new system". He doesn't offer any unnecessary "maintenance contracts", credit cards on file, mysterious hidden fees, pushy tactics and shady characters. He believes you should NOT be pushed every single time to buy a brand new system once your HVAC reaches the 10 year mark. It's time to work the old fashion way where your HVAC technician is a local one man show, not a big corporate with unknown owners residing across several states.
Angel noticed that almost all big HVAC companies in Indianapolis area are luring people with a "$55 AC or furnace tune-up". Then, you're sent a "sales man" (not a technician) that has been highly trained how to literally push you into the contract trap for a brand new "high efficiency system". Or another scenario where they offer you over the phone really good "deal" but in the end they wrap you up with numerous hidden fees. So, you've got the sticker shock after all.
Angel doesn't like that. So, instead of doing that, Angel thought, researched and talked it over with his loyal customers and settled on what rate he considers a fair trade for his services. His estimates are straightforward and clear with no hidden costs. Is he the cheapest? No. Is he the most expensive? No. He is somewhere in the middle. In fact, he doesn't mind if you try another HVAC company, especially the real big ones and eventually get serviced by "highly trained" teenagers hired for $15-$20 per hour fresh out of the school (to be exact online school as everything is online since 2020). So, he's more than confident it's just matter of time you'll come back to him soon or later.
As he said, he's set what he feels is a fair price for his services. However, keep in mind people who ring Angel's phone are often looking for quality work paired with honest and integrity. If you are looking for "cheap work", please keep looking. Sometimes you may find dirty cheap rates from shady individuals (whom you'll never see again once you pay them), or so called "online deals" with one hundred asterisks in the very fine print from other companies. That's OK. Perhaps Angel's not a good match for your needs.
So, if you'd like him to try to compete on price, he'll have to respectfully decline. He has spent very long time training himself in his trade and learning how to provide you with the highest superior customer service.
For those reasons, he feels he's set a fair price for his services, and his several dozen new, satisfied customers during this year as well as his repeat customers from years past seem to validate his truly old school approach. Thank you for stopping by and reading all of this!
